On the English side of Offa’s Dyke around Tutshill and Woodcroft. Felt more like the beginning of summer than the end of it today.
Found a new cafe, Toast in Tutshill – not yet on the radar of local walkers but it won’t take long; a footpath clearly deliberately obscured by a farmer – to be reported; and probably the largest herd of diary cows I’ve encountered in a long time. Fresh from the milking parlour they made a beeline for the far section of a huge field filled with long lush grass. It was like trying to cross a motorway – we had to wait ten minutes for them all to amble past before we could get to the gate.
A walk with spectacular views of the Severn Estuary and rolling gentle countryside.
